This pp again. I finished it and enjoyed some of the later episodes like thanksgiving and the one with Bryan and his father. I think the episodes that explore family relationships and friendships are the best.

I hated the Italy episodes and the love interest. Felt very forced and boring.

I agree about the Italian love interest. She was not a developed character but more of a stereotype of a beautiful girl from a small town. I honestly think it would have been better if they brought back the girl from the first episode when he lost his phone.

^ I agree. She was more interesting.

I loved the italian love interest compared to Rachel from season 1. That felt forced and one-sided.

Just finished the whole season and LOVED it. It felt real and was so funny. The way he told the Italian girl how he felt about her is the kind of declaration I would love to get from a man! I also really liked how he respected the boundaries when they slept in the same bed. To me, he made his wishes know without steamrolling over her. She got a little ridiculous with that kissing through the glass etc. but I guess she was supposed to come off very inexperienced.

I liked s2 better than s1. I love Arnold, and he looked so much better this season!

The Arnie and Dev episode was funny. I couldn't stop laughing when the car got caught in the alleyway. And when his ex married a doppelgänger.

I have 3 episodes left of Season 2, but I love all of it. I loved it last season as well, but this season is really at a whole other level. The deep dives into other characters' lives, the different styles of each episode. The freedom they have to really make the show the way they want to make it really shines through this season. I've heard Aziz and Alan in a few interviews about the new season and they both say that they felt they had a lot of freedom from Netflix to just create what they wanted to. Really great and touching storytelling. The episode that ends in Dev taking a cab ride home alone and how painstakingly long that shot goes on for - that was amazing.

As someone who has lots of family in Italy and visits them often, I have to say that when that car got stuck in the alley I was cracking up! My cousins in Italy constantly drive down tiny alleys with their cars and I am always in the back seat screaming that we will get stuck! And we never do! Hahaha - silly Americans.

And Arnie's ex's new husband - hilarious!

This show is SO bad and SO boring. I tried to watch the first episode of season 2 and could not get through it.

The first two episodes are the worst. It gets better.

I thought that the Italian girl was going to reject him and the last scene would be Dev running into the British girl (who also lived in NY) from the restaurant in Italy.

The Thanksgiving episode was great, and I also loved the Arnold episode where the car got stuck.
