Alaska Airlines experiences?

Love them. Super kid friendly. Flew BWI to SAN in March, and the seats I could book on Expedia were all middle seats. Called Alaska agent, and she gave us four across is row 15, usually reserved for frequent travelers, at no charge. And this was for both legs - outbound and inbound. Let us board early with young children. I was blown away. Used to be a United 1K and never treated so well.

We've never had a bad experience in the years we've been flying with them (and we love they have a direct flight to PDX from DCA). Crew are always friendly, gate agents have their act together, just a good efficient experience. Is it luxury flying? No. But for a domestic airline, they're really good.

We've flown them twice for the same reason (visiting family in Portland). They were the only direct flights we could find to PDX (now Southwest has some seasonal direct flights to PDX, but not all year round). Even though we are devoted Southwest passengers and have gotten great service on SWA, the customer service level on Alaskan is probably the best domestic service I've ever had. The flight staff were polite and supportive and made the flight enjoyable even for families traveling with children. It has a fairly decent menu available for food/snacks. Boarding was run smoothly and the flights were always on-time.

I consider them to be one of the best domestic service airlines currently flying.

Love Alaska Airlines. Very easy processes, great customer service, delicious and inexpensive ($6) snack boxes in-flight.

There mostly a West Coast Airline. I've flown them many times to Hawaii, always one of the best airlines plus they get great ratings. The only down fall is that it's an all 737 fleet like SWA. I would fly them in a second.
