Appreciate it, honestly, because it gets the energy out and helps them sleep. But yes TOTALLY normal and my four year old still does it occasionally. Although she wants to be chased. |
My almost 5 year old runs the loop almost every day, and has been for the last 2.5 years. It drives me nuts too, and I really have no excuse, other than it sounds like little hoofs on our wood floors (and we live in a small space). Sometimes I close myself off in my bedroom to drown out the noise.
Now that I hear how common it is, I feel bad for the times I've told DS to stop running throughout the house (not that he ever listens). |
We take off socks so they don't fall. We don't have a loop, but we have an alley (the hallway and then into the kitchen), and my boys can't stop themselves from running with/after each other.
Totally normal, and my oldest is over 4 and doesn't show signs of stopping. |
Normal and it's great that they can do that!! |
As opposed to in squares? Just joking, they will grow out of it. I miss it now that my kids are older. |
I was not looking for one, but we have one, and I think about this all the time. My 2 year old runs around the "loop" SO MANY TIMES. We have lots of chasing and saying boo and "i'm gonna get yous" and it's awesome. 2 year olds need to run. A lot. |
