OP cruises are awful for what you are after. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
All inclusives can be fine but it depends on what you pick. In your situation, I'd go for something like Club Med in Punta Cana. Or a Ritz Carlton pretty much anywhere... |
Thanks! |
| Hilton Head has resorts that check most of those boxes. That was the most relaxing vacations I've ever been on with kids. I was pleasantly surprised. |
Stay at the new Andaz Mayakoba. Less people, fantastic food. Great service. The resort just opened in December. |

Thanks!

We rent oceanfront condos in less crowded areas. Fully stock the kitchen the first day. Carry the beach chairs up and back 1x a day. Super quick to run to/from the condo. I do not want anywhere with towel or drink service. Besides the outrageous cost, these places tend to be crowded - otherwise it wouldnt be with having the towel boy. My kids (6 and 9) literally played for hours on the beach, we popped back to the condo for lunch, then played hours more back at the beach or alternatively the pool. Then quick showers and dinners out nearby. I don't think I've had a more relaxed vacation with kids since they were born.
Disney Cruise was not relaxing at all to me. And you will definitely have to save chairs. |
| Paradisus La Esmeralda (Playa del Carmen) has everything you're looking for AND a baby and kids club that your kids can use anytime of the day while you go to the spa or have a date night. |
| Thank you! I will look into those. |
| You emphasized pool over beach. If that's the case, you can probably find a higher end resort with a great kids pool in Orlando. |

Also following this post. Looking for a relaxing family beach vacation that's not crowded.

Like what resort? |
Yes, beach is optionsl. Would love a specific rec if anyone has one. |
Have you tried the kids' club? Cost? |
Sonesta. It was sublime. |
Club Med is HORRID. Everyone on this board disdains Beaches but it is 100x nicer and cleaner. |
