| on the topic of charting with tech gadgets-- i recently bought the kindara wink and have been really liking it. been using it for the past three cycles. |
This worked for me - pregnant within three months at 36 and 39. |
I worry that this would stress me out. I use the OPKs and we have sex daily or every other around the fertile days. The numbers for temp would drive me crazy, I think. But I’m 36 and trying for a 3rd, so we’ve got to get on this!

| Purchased a pre-owned Ava 2.0 off eBay for a little less than the regular price (and plan to sell this if/when it works). I've only just started TTC but have been wearing ava for two months now to get used to my cycle. I will say that if you're drinking alcohol it's useless because of fluctuations in skin temp and heart rate. Once I stopped drinking and it could accurately follow my parameters, it could confirm my actual ovulation date and has adjusted itself accordingly. Fingers crossed it works, but this is my first time trying so I won't have anything to compare it to. |

I tried the Ava! It didn't work for me but then nothing did for 3 years except for IVF - so I can't really blame the Ava because I don't think the issue was timing.
Here's what it comes down to - is your fertility issue a timing issue? - If it is, then the Ava will probably work (so might temping, or charting, or other things like that). - If it isn't, then the Ava probably won't work! (Granted, some other fertility issues just decrease the likelihood of it working - so anything that increases the likelihood COULD help. Making sure, for instance, that you "catch" that one golden egg if you have poor egg quality.) But timing can only get you so far if something else in the process isn't working. By the way, I tested the Ava against OPK strips and against Creighton method charting and they all came out to the same 2-day window of ovulation. So if you are currently using a different timing method, I don't recommend switching to Ava. But it's a much easier way to do it than any other way if you are not currently figuring out when you are ovulating. P.S. I also bought a used Ava on Ebay and then sold it for basically the same price - similar to PP! |
