A little below my shoulders, all one length |
Saw this thing at ulta last week, considered it and hedged. It seems so big and bulky! But it does seem to have a serious fan base... |
Yeah it's huge-looks like the 70's Oldsmobile of dryers but stick it in a drawer and enjoy your good hair. |
Do you use this straight out of the shower, or do you wait until your hair is partially dry? |
I actually find it works best on partially dry hair, or I pull out my old dryer and do a quick one minute "base dry" (just to get the big water out) and then switch to the Revlon. |
I wait until my hair is mostly dry, as it's so thin, its mostly dry in about 10 minutes. My friend uses it right out of the shower, she has crazy thick hair that takes a long time to dry, but this thing has really cut down on the time it takes her. |
NP here -- does this thing spin or is it basically just a round brush with a built in hair dryer? What is the diameter? Is it the equivalent of a 3" brush? |
I've been using a Conair version of this for years and years and I'm surprised it seems to be a new thing for so many people. It's the only way I style my hair. I can't imagine holding a blow dryer and at same time directing a round brush... what a pain! The hot air brush does two things at the same time with one tool. Like 10:07, I'll use a blow dryer for maybe 2 minutes for a base dry and then continue on with the hot air brush. Total time for hair takes about 7 minutes. I have an almost shoulder length layered cut, straight to wavy Caucasian hair, medium texture. The Conair works great. |
When I use a blow dryer and a round brush, I also need to use a flat iron. When I use the revlon dryer I don't need to flat iron.
I get a lot of volume - to the pp who doesn't - you need to pull your hair sections up and out at the roots. |
I posted about this very product in another thread. I have thick wavy hair that I have straightened for years using a traditional hair dryer (T3) and round brush. I was looking for something that would do the same but quicker and on a whim I tried this product and it works so well for me! It cuts down on the amount of time I spend drying/straightening my hair.
What works best for me is to wash my hair the night before and coil it up into a bun. Then in the morning, I take it down and it is still damp and in less than 10 minutes I am done with it! |
Can someone tell me just how big this is? I just cut my hair into a bob - it's maybe chin length. I can still use my 3" round brush but is this thing bigger than that? |
Wow. That's crazy fast. Thanks for the tip! |
Does it work on type 4 hair? |
I am the OP from the other thread about this product. I was turned on to it because juggling a dryer and brus was always a pain and it took too long to totally dry and straighten my hair. This is easier to manage and cuts down in the time it takes. I agree it does not add much volume but it straightens and smoothes beautifully. |
