What to do with living room?

Put the tv in an armoire then no one will know it's there unless you open the doors

FWIW, we have a tv in an armoire in our living room. How old are your kids? How big is your family room? Could you temporarily make the larger room the family/play room? I know someone who did this while her kids were young and it worked out well.

I used to feel really gauche that we had a TV in the living room and in the family room until my kids were big enough to fight about TV programs. That's when I found it useful to have 2 TVs in the house!
