Borrow "Baby Bargains" book from the library or from a friend. It's like consumer reports for everything material you'l ever need for baby. Lots of helpful partical advice and they just came out with a new edition a few months ago.

Totally agree with those who said that it's hard to tell before baby is born. Ours HATES the bouncy seat, as well as his carseat, which made the snap & go and the swing attachment useless and a waste of money. The cradle swing, however, is worth it's considerable weight in gold - it's the first place and only place other than someone's arms that my son ever slept. Also, the Ergo. We don't leave the house without it. I used a sling and the Maya wrap a lot when he was smaller - great when baby wants to be held all the time but you need to do stuff like eat that requires two hands.
