She witty, funny, and sarcastic, but with no bitterness or mean-spiritedness that can turn people off. She tries her best and is really successful at having a very "together" home and life, but doesn't try or pretend to be perfect. There's no image-management that I see so many moms seem so conscious of. She is so patient and conscientious of her kids and their behavior and manners, but none if it is authoritarian or false. No cutesy-cute voices, trite sentimentality, or insipid Pinterest-y bs. But she does do all kinds of cute and creative and fun things with her three kids. I've never heard her judge or engage in "mommy war" talk.

She doesn't have a glamorous or high intellect job - but a good career that she nonetheless kicks butt at, often getting promoted and wooed by other firms based on her reputation. She has more true blue friends than anyone I've known. I think what it comes down to is that she loves her life and being a working mom, and that radiates off of her. People respond to that.

I have a friend like that. The only difference is that she doesn't have a career, but she works hard on every job she has.

I may have admired myself when I had 2 kids. I had a great career, always looked well put together and headed and organized many kid activities for just my kids and others.

I am now a SAHM of 3 kids. I am a hot mess, always tired and always forgetting something.

I have mom crushes on a couple of moms who I would love to be friends with, but I don't think they are "perfect" or even that they have things more together than other people. They just seem like really nice, fun people who I'd like to be friends with. We do things together, but I try not to be too creepy and ask them to do a million things with us because I think it would weird them out. I don't think they like me as much as I like them.

This is so inspiring. I wish I knew more people like this. I think the fact that you recognize this and want to emulate it shows that you are a good person and are probably an awesome person and mom already!

My Mom is my hero hands down, but I also admire a couple of other Moms at daycare and school who manage to always show up to the little things, even when I know they work full time. They are not just attending though, but really present with their kids. I suffer from not being able to slow down and enjoy.
