I've posted on here before so you could try a search. Kalahari is less kid-themed and skews older. The water features are similar. |
They haven't booked a place yet. If you were trying to somewhere and there were better options/choices wouldn't you want to be informed of it? Or if you booked a place and others had issues input wouldn't you want have a heads up to better prepare and plan? People on here ask for input. With input you get the good, the bad and the ugly. If they only want answers that include rainbows and unicorns they should a state that in their question. |
| Book directly on GWL website. We go to the one in NC and there are always deals, some "exclusive" to people who "sign up" with an email address. No reason to pay full price if you book far enough in advance. |
| The Pennsylvania one is newer and MUCH nicer than the Virginia one. If you have a choice, I'd do the extra half hour drive to the Poconos. |
Interesting, how it is nicer? |
New poster here. I've only been to the Poconos one, but I thought it was quite nice. I had pretty low expectations because I had read some negative posts on DCUM and I'm kind of a snob when it comes to hotels. The room was clean and decent (no chorine smell) and all facilities (waterpark, bowling, arcade, ice cream shop, restaurant) seemed clean and nice. It had a Starbucks on site. I would go back. Full disclosure - food at the restaurant is adequate, not good. My advice is to stick to basic stuff like pizza. |
