| I'm really tired of all those buzzfeed lists about things that are "extra." but this....is extra. |
| Elementary school father-daughter dance is already over the top by itself. |
Why? |
Because not all kids have a dad, for starters. |
|
The only reason I can get behind limos for prom is it guarantees a sober driver. I see no need for this in ES. Crazy.
|
Meh. The sooner they learn that not everyone is the same or is not going to cater to their individual circumstance, the better. |
| I'm surprised by all the people here who think this would be normal in NJ. Maybe it's time to stop watching reality TV. |
So what? Not all kids have moms. Not all kids have grandparents. Not all kids have siblings. Not all kids have Mom and Dad. Everyone of these events they are allowed to bring an uncle, sibling, grandfather, even a mom. It doesn't say "only Dads allowed." |
| Get a group of people together to do it, Who cares what people think, the kids will really get a kick out of it and the dads can get drunk and not have to worry about driving. |
|
Please elaborate, OP. Where is this elementary school? |
maybe the next "day of protest" will be a day without parents? |
Northern Va. exurb. |
| I don't get the fuss. I assume the kids love it, so what's the big deal? |
My first thought was omg T-A-C-K-Y. But you're right. The kids would think it was coolest thing ever. |
| I saw a Facebook pic where a family used a limo for a father daughter dance with a toddler. As in, the daughter was 1-2 years old. This was not around here. |
