Asparagus Soup...make this!

Fried tuna newbies. Who remembers the asparagus proper serving portions thread?

I loved it, too, so thanks, OP. Already made it twice. I'll admit I thought it needed a bit more cheese than a quarter cup, but I grate with a microplane that makes the cheese super voluminous (and I also love cheese, of course). Wish recipes would use weight to indicate grated cheese quantity.

I love asparagus soup so much, we served it our wedding! Will try this this weekend. Thanks OP!

If I don't have a vitamix blender would this recipe still taste good? I just have a regular old cheap blender.

I've used both my Ninja prep and my Cuisinart immersion blender and it turned out great both times! I didn't need to use a sieve.

I think using the sieve depends on the texture you are going for. Personally i love how smooth and refined the sieve makes it.

OP, made this again tonight and we love it. My teenagers request it all the time. Thank you!

That depends. Are you serving the soup on fine china? That is the only way to make up for a cheap blender.

I use an immersion blender. Cheap blender should be fine. I don’t strain it.

Ok, this joke is no longer funny when it's brought up in EVERY thread.

AMEN. And when it has no context/similarities to that first thread, which I never even thought was funny.

Can someone provide a link to the old thread??
