I like you!

LOL OP no. It's not ok.

OP, as you're not from DC I'm going to give you some general fashion advice (you already got the correct specific answer): DC is very conservative, clothing-wise. As in, wearing a non-white button-down shirt or (in some places) a double-breasted suit vs. single-breasted looks edgy.

Turtlenecks are the most repulsive look ever. Mr. Rogers style.

I'd wear a tie to the interior, but in real-life, work, and aside from the clueless fashion victims of DC, go for the turtleneck!

Nope.

Maybe you could get a dicky...https://www.walmart.com/ip/WalterDrake-Black-Dickie-Mock-Turtleneck/39798086 Nice and cool once the weather gets warmer but still want that turtleneck look.

In all seriousness, no to the turtleneck. Wear a nice shirt and tie like the rest of the DC political folks.

Agree. Wear the turtleneck after you get the job[b]. LOL

Coupled with your work badge hanging off your neck.

Seriously, OP, please don't do the turtleneck. You'd look like my mother-in-law.
