I'm sure there's a lot more that we're not being told. But you've received some decent advice. Good luck. |
I went through the exact same thing. Thankfully the 1st thing that I did was looking for mental counseling, because my 2 kids were 2 years old and 3 years old at the time. I was working outside the house mom but my income were not enough to cover for everything. He desaparead too without talking to me first and one day while I was working he went to the house and pick up he belongings. When I came home and saw that none of his clothes were there , that is when I realized he had to have another woman and I need to divorced him, but I didn't have money to pay for a lawyer. So I went to the women's coalition against domestic violence.
They guide me on how to start with all ghe legal process. The 1 thing was with the child support paperwork and process. They helped me filling out the documents to summit to the court for the child support and I after I had that then I started with the divorce process. They referred me a very good and $$ resonable lawyer. I got divorced " by fault of abandonment" he never showed up and I was granted full custody of my kids. We did not have a mortgage or debts so nothing to divide and another jurisdiction about 6 years ago. After all the pain and suffering that lasted for 2 years, today I look back and I'm thankful for everything, because I was able to look and find for the help that I needed to deal with the anxiety and depression that I was going thru. I may difference from you is that I had my family close. Dear you need to heal, please look for help there is a LOT of social assistance that you may qualify and if not they can tell you where to go. Today I'm doing way better financially, I was transferred here from work and my kids are super well and we are all happy. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck and many blessings! |
Thanks so much I hope that my kids and I will have a happy outcome, too. |
