We did a great party at the Michael and Sons Sportsplex. Boys played basketball (you can do soccer, flag football etc too) with a coach. The coach also handed out pizza, cut the cake and did all the clean up. The boys had a great time and it was a lot less expensive than the bounce places.

We went to a party at zavazone that was fantastic if you have the budget.

Second the Sportsplex. I had my son's 7 th birthday party there and all the boys had fun. They just played soccer, but all the kids had a really good time.

Sportsplex is SO dirty though. I love the basketball coach there, but that place is skeevy.

Check out The Castle as an alternative to Shadowlands. Better arcade and better parking.

ZavaZone was a hit for our 7 yr DS b-day party, he has always had his parties at Bounce U but the closest location Clarksburg closed down couple months ago. The Bounce U in Rockville was priced higher than Zavazone so that was a factor but the guests loved it.

Wow. I'm surprised to hear that since Zavazone is really expensive to go to on your own. I think Bounce U type parties are better for younger kids.

Yes, we splurged for DS b-day party at Zavazone but he had a great time along with his friends who looked so happy so it was worth it. We booked the party in the morning so it wouldn't be so crowded. I think DS is outgrowing Bounce U. His next party he wants it at Sandy Springs Adventure park.

I like zava zone but the kids are so spread out, that I don't feel a togetherness of doing things together. And it's expensive.
How do you incorporate a togetherness at a place like that? there are different stations and a trampoline area.

Climbzone in Laurel is great. It ended up costing less than expected also, cheaper than Pump it Up, not sure how it compares to Zavazone.

Video game truck. We just got invited to this party. I called to ask the mom what it was and she said 20 kids will sit in a massive truck with 5 screens to play Xbox and wii.
