Southern Shores in OBX

I think it means you were trying to be snobby about NORTH CAROLINA.

We are renting a house in Southern Shores this summer. I stayed in Corolla about 10 years ago and
vaguely remember Southern Shores except there was a sign that announced it. What I do remember was
an old community of much smaller older homes and that was Southern Shores. And more importantly
there were trees in the community. Go to the Southern Shores Realty website (google it) and it
tells a little bit about the different communities. I picked the house we are renting because it
had trees in the yard and shade around the house and was a reasonable price.

Corolla is too far from everything. Southern Shores is between Duck (big new houses and lots of shopping) and Kitty Hawk, very commercial
and lots of places to eat. It won't be as long to drive if you want to get off the island and visit Manteo and the wildlife refuge.

But still I haven't actually stopped there. I stayed in Kitty Hawk about 8 years ago and didn't like the beach (not very big at the place we stayed).
The island is narrow, I expect to be able to walk to the ocean or the sound side in Southern Shores.
