Snow on Friday?

No the county is either open or closed as a whole. You may have rain but if it is snowing in Germantown schools will close. Just check in the am.

Nope. It's all or none, we are one district.

Which one of the many reasons why people are asking for smaller school systems.

No, if there is an icy sidewalk within shouting distance of a school in Poolesville, your school will be closed.

Who is asking for smaller districts? As near as we can tell Gov Hogan wants one district for all of Maryland.

Very doubtful

2 hour delay?

Signs point to yes

Anyone hear anything?

Reply hazy try again

What "signs"?

Everyone knows you can only ask Magic 8 Ball yes or no questions. Try again!

You can ask Magic 8 Ball anything, the answers may be hard to interpret.

I asked mine "What signs" and it said "Most Likely".

It is supposed to be 1-2 inches. Expect a possible delay, but don't count on it.

Really, are you from here? This area flips out when it snows even a tiny bit--especially the first snow of the season (and I have lived here all my life). Any snow on the ground will absolutely produce a delay tomorrow morning. If it doesn't I will be pleasantly surprised.

I have lived here for over 20 years.
Capital Weather Gang is recommending that kids do their homework, as a delay is unlikely.

No sign of even a snowflake yet...

If our Bethesda sidewalks are icy, I want schools closed. DD has to walk 3 blocks to her elementary school, and it will be cold in the morning!

You think your snowflake will freeze to death, having walked for ten minutes in a 30F weather?

I want schools opened, especially given the fact that they will be officially closed for two days next week and then for one day the week after. Enough of that 'oh, I'm so afraid of snow' crap!

Has anyone bothered to look at a radar site? Or maybe I should ask if anyone is intelligent enough to find a radar site.

There is very, very light snow to the west of us. If it makes it over the mountains it will be a surprise.

There will be school. No delay.

DD is at Bethesda ES - she will not be walking to school tomorrow if it is cold or even a littel icy! I'll keep her home.

Just started snowing at the Taco Bell on Rockville Pike, so probably a delay.

Also, late night Taco Bell runs are still delicious in your early 30's. Especially when it's cold and starting to snow.
