Expectant and Postpartum Moms
| You may already know this, but Dr. Buek does really early morning hours (his first appt is at 6:45 or maybe even 6:30). It's easier to get in then, and the wait time is also much better. Also, they let you schedule up to 3 appts at a time, so you can schedule for a few months ahead (if you're at a point where you're still only going in once a month). |
| I just received notice that Dr. Buek is leaving GUH on December 31st. |
| Do you know where he is going? |
| The letter states that he will assume the role of OB residency program director at Washington Hospital Center. |
|
I had my appt w Dr Buek today and asked what the deal was.
He is taking a role of leading the residency program at Washington Hospital Center AND at GU. He is hoping that in a year he will return to seeing patients on a part-time basis at GU. |
| Thanks for the update. I am very happy to hear that Dr Buek might be back at GU, even if it's a remote possibility at this point. |
| This reply is a little late for this thread, but I have been seeing Dr. Yuri at Georgetown and love him. We have had a fantastic experience. His bed side manner is really great and I have never felt rushed through my appts. At every appointment he has sat down and talked with us for as long as we have questions. |

Funny - that is not my experience with Dr Yuri at all.
I used to see Buek and was pregnant when he moved positions so I needed to select a new primary Dr at GT. I was at the point in my pregnancy when I was rotating through meeting the drs during my scheduled appts each month and I had a few questions to ask dr Yuri to get to know him better. His response was that I should schedule an appt if I wanted to talk about his experience, POV etc. that he had a lot of patients to see and did not have time to talk abou this. I was really turned off as he had not even spent 5 minutes with me for my appointment. I would have thought that from a scheduling POV they would have allocated at least 10 minutes for a Dr to see a patient and that he could have given me 5 minutes before cutting me off. |
|
My experience with Dr. Yuri has been similar. With me he has been rude, abrupt, and seemed overburdened/overwhelmed--like most doctors. No interest in the patient--which is ok... Just because you are a doctor does not mean it was your calling.
I could have dealt with all that, but he also missed a major recommendation that makes me not trust him. I hear he is leaving, but I still want to switch to GW. |
| I am glad I am not the only person who has had issues with Wulf!! I see Gorman - she is good and will answer all of your questions. I have delivered all of my children (four and working on 5) at GT and for the most part it has been a good experience. Try for Breen she is good and really good when things are getting tough |
|
Breen is nice, but if there are no problems with your pregnancy, she is VERY brief- in and out in a few minutes. Gorman was willing to spend much more time with me. I also liked Bowles-Johnson. |
yep - I recently received a letter that Yuri is leaving |
