Congratulations! This is awesome! And to the OP, 2 lbs in the first week is a great start. I did WW a couple of years ago and lost 10 lbs but gained it back. Now that I've had my second baby, I'm ready to try again! |
I have, although I waited until I was 8 mos pp to start. I found it very sustainable and lost weight easily; you get many extra nursing points -- so many that I didn't really feel like I was denying myself. I ate the same foods, just less of them. And I got smarter about snacking. WW is great for helping you figure out portion control, which is my big problem. I lost 22 lbs in about 4 mos -- slowly and steadily, with no exercise. When I stopped nursing, my weight loss essentially came to a halt (even after I adjusted my points for the fact that I wasn't nursing anymore). With my first, when I didn't diet, I had a similar experience, except that I put weight back on when I weaned. My recommendation would be to wait another month or two for your supply to regulate and for a little more normalcy in daily life, then start WW. I definitely think doing it while bfing is the way to go. |

I did WW before i was pregnant and was really successful. I wanted to start again after #1 but got preg with #2 when #1 was 6months. #2 is now 5 weeks and I am desparate to get these extra lbs off of me. I am pretty active - pushing a double stroller around for a couple hours a day - and I am barely eating bc I dont really have time but I am not losing much weight. I am BFing #2 and am planning to start WW again next week.
Any suggestions from someone who tried WW while BFing a newborn? |
| Just joined with the montly pass. Can someone explain the Momentum plan? I am having a hard time understanding it. I used the point system several times with success. HELP!!TIA |
| How on earth do you figure the points out? I typed in coffee and I can't find the one I am looking for. Do I need to enter coffee, splenda and whole milk all separately? |

PP-DId you purchase your coffee from starbucks or the like? If so, the easiest thing is to go to starbucks, get NI and fill in the NI on the online calculator.
Just looked on the plan manager Coffee:0 (without sugar) Whole Milk:4 (1 cup) Splenda: 0 I will say sometimes you will not be able to find exactly the brand you are searching for so I substitute. HTH |
