No, I think these are genuine questions.

Thanks for the spoiler! Not everyone has seen the movie yet so you should have kept that part to yourself.

Ha. There is a movie called Trolls. Our family's reaction was meh.

My 6 and 9 year olds have seen all the other Star Wars movies at home. I saw Rogue One in the theatre with DH. We almost brought the older one and were so glad we did not. I thought this one had more violence and deaths of characters and the previews before the film were not appropriate. Very different than the last one that came out IMO.

I took my 11 year old. He liked it.

I took my 6 year old to see Rogue One. He wasn't scared at all and the ending went right over his head. Had no idea about what happened. Having said that, he hasn't once mentioned the movie after we walked out of the theater. This was definitely more of a strategy movie than the others.

That was my 13 YO's reaction too: "How was the movie?" "Everybody died!"

look at the Miracle Theater on Barracks Row. It has some second-run movies and they tend to be family-friendly.

"Sing"

The previews apparently were horrible violent and scary and my MIL was horrified.

+1, my husband took my 6 and 8 year old. 6 year old had to leave but my 8 year old loved it.

Sing!

Just saw this with my kids and nieces and nephews. Group of 5 kids ages 5-12 and they all loved it.

another vote for The Eagle Huntress! It's subtitled but really easy to follow, my 2nd and 3rd grader loved it. Plus the scenery is incredibly beautiful and the cultural window into that life is fascinating so for adults it is interesting too.

Look collective dummies, this is a thread about appropriate movies for kids that are currently in theaters. It's not a discussion on the Entertainment Forum on specific movies. So it's information parents need to know if they are looking for appropriate films. Grow up.
