How much money do you spend on Holiday/Christmas decorations each year?

There are people in my neighborhood with those blow-up front lawn decorations. Those don't look that cheap. And a few people have several. Of course they may have bought them previous years.

I love decorating. When the kids were younger and we didn't have many decorations, I would easily spend a few hundred dollars on stuff.

Now we are just adding in stuff here and there. This year, I bought...

Tree - $50
3 fresh wreaths - $75
door mat - $30
ornaments - $45 ($15 one for each kid)
red throw + holiday pillow - $80

We set our budget at $30 this year. Pretty low IMO. I only used $12. But I AM going to spend the rest on the day after Christmas when it's all marked down!

This year I spent:

$65 on a tree (it's a fundraiser and half is tax deductible)
$15 on a new string of outdoor lights
$40 ornaments for the kids (they get new ones each year and I got the white house ornament this year)

So $120. That's a little more than normal, I don't usually need the lights and usually spend 1/2 of what I spent on ornaments. I reuse our wreath and other decor.
