Trump is making American job creation a priority.

so Dow Chemical, one of the largest chemical corporations in the world, with over $60 Billion in sales, promises to bring 200 (two hundred) R&D jobs to Michigan in the future (they are now just in the early phase of start thinking about planning what exactly they will do eventually) but in the meantime cut 700 manufacturing jobs.

at 200 jobs at a time, it will take Trump about 2000 years to make America great again.....

step by step, little by little, day by day

"“You’re paving the way through your administration your policies to make it easier to do business in this country,” Liveris told Trump. “Not a red tape country, but a red carpet country for American business. That’s what we have to do.”"

DOW Chemical, forced by EPA to pay a settlement in 2011 for alleged violations in Michigan of Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act is now bringing jobs back to the state that recently went through a water contamination scandal that made national news. Can't imagine any reason at all that Dow's CEO would be sucking up to the PEOTUS who can't even seem to do simple math that 700 lost - 200 gained is still 500 jobs lost overall.

Yeah, you should see what DuPont did to the people in West Virginia. Not pretty. Chemicals in the ground killed and contaminated people and animals. It was sad and they got away with it b/c people were afraid to speak b/c they needed their jobs.

I would love to see what Trump has in mind that will get anywhere close to replacing that 6 million jobs the last Republican President tanked. Currently he's averaging 400 a week. At this rate, he will only replace 386,000 jobs in eight years.

Maybe Trump needs a Plan B. The bully pulpit is not really working.

We lost a ton of manufacturing jobs in cities under Reagan.

Dow CEO is a greedy globalist crook who commutes to his job in Michigan from an 11million dollar Manhattan apartment.

Bragging about hiring 100 people in Michigan after literally firing over 700 a month ago. Nice!

Meanwhile Obama has been adding 200,000 jobs a month with zero help from the Republicans.

He's taking his cue from Trump. Both will be lavishly praised by low information Trump voters, not realizing that they've been screwed. Brace yourself - this will continue for the next four years (or until Republican's find it convenient to impeach Trump). If Trump supporters were dumb enough to buy his transparent lies the first time (blissfully unencumbered by the truth - which they don't believe in), they'll be dumb enough to buy his BS indefinitely. If Trump doesn't blow us all up or create a monumental scandal that even his supporters have to acknowledge, then he's got a good shot at reelection.

Decades of Gallup polls have shown a substantial portion of the public, at times large majorities, favoring reduced immigration — a sentiment ignored by both parties. The GOP’s business wing has pushed for more skilled and unskilled workers from overseas, mainly by lobbying for large expansions of various visa categories, while Democrats, aligned with minority voters, have sought easier entry for family-based migrants and legalization for those who entered the U.S. without permission, but have since established themselves.

Anyone applying for a visa to our country should undergo a much more intensive, up-front background check. That is why I plan to revamp U.S. visa security and provide expanded authorities to our frontline
investigators. We also need to bring security screening into the digital age by using social-media intelligence and new technology. In general, our goal should be to identify and exclude individuals who
have ties to terror, who advocate Islamist extremism, or who support the overthrow of our government and Constitution.

That's very true and very scary.
I hope reality hits hard.
