Bait and switch get together (MLM)

Anonymous
You're under no obligation to buy anything. Usually the host gets something free or a discount. Just be warned that they will try to get you to host too. Don't sign up for mailing lists and ask to be removed from the marketing list that already exists.

For what it's worth, I've got several friends who sell this stuff and once I told them I was not interested in buying, selling, or hosting anything, they didn't ask again.

I might get a "stomach bug" suddenly. F that MLM noise. Throw. A. Real. Party.

Problem is, everyone else might be thinking what you're thinking and then no one shows.

I fail to see the problem with that scenario.

Sorry, should have said and then no one but you shows...

I decided not to go. It is hard for me to go and not buy anything and not drink or eat anything the seller provided. It just feels rude to me. I also have the idea that I will be pressured to be Facebook friends with the seller and all the other sellers who are there so I will get more of these and/or they will ask for my name and email so I am on their list. It just didn't seem like a relaxing morning.

Ah yes, now that would definitely be a problem. I was imagining a situation where the "host" and the seller are just chilling by themselves because everyone else bailed due to the bait and switch. That seemed like a perfect scenario to me.
