I think from what I've read, in home daycare workers generally get more - $50-100 each teacher.
Daycare center workers usually get around $25-50. My LO is at a daycare center and just started 1 month ago so I'm doing $25 for each teacher (2). |
| What are folks thoughts on cash vs gift cards? If a gift card I was thinking somewhere like Target. |
| I do cash- DD has three teachers so I'm doing $100 for each of them. |
|
I give DD's two teachers a nice card and $100 each. I do that periodically throughout the year for holidays (i.e. 4th of July, Halloween, Easter, etc.).
They are both amazing and watch my child all day. I wish I could do more. I don't give the director anything. |
|
A cozy blanket "throw" & card for each teacher. There are 2 teachers.
|
| I'm bringing a huge box of individually wrapped cookies to the center for all to share, a box of candy (for a nice homemade candy shop) for two of my son's original teachers that he still loves to pieces, and a $25 gift card for all of his current teachers (he has 5). My son is super friendly and knows pretty much all of the teachers and staff in his center so that is why I like to bring something for everyone. I wish we had more money. Everyone there is so wonderful but it is so hard when he has SO many teachers. I also know, as a child and daughter in law of teachers, that they don't want to random stuff. |
| $100 gift card to each of his teachers and aide. $25 gift cards to the two directors. Also $50 to the school gift fund. |
| We give a range of $25-$50 gift cards to Amazon to the teachers our children interact with the most. That's probably about 5 people. |
