wii vs xbox

What Wii U games are good for the younger set? DC is 6, we enjoy Mario Kart and Dance Parties. We're thinking of getting Donkey Komg country, we primarily prefer something that doesn't need to be played for too long a period of time.

You don't have to buy the games that are more suited to older kids and adults. Xbox is by far the more popular console.

We also purchased the Xbox 1 S Minecraft bundle for our soon to be 10 yr. old. Got a good deal through Zulily - $279.

My 5 and 8 year olds love their Xbox one. They play minecraft, rocket league, plants v zombies, and sky landers.

+1 I bought a wii u for my kids last xmas -- 7 and 10 -- for this very reason. Wait till they are teens for xbox.

Np: they're discontinuing the Wii U, so no new games....

Np here. Oh no!?!? We just bought a Wii U for our young kids. Do you suggest we return it for something else or wait for the Switch?

If I was you I would take it back. Depending on the age of your kids. The good thing about the Wii U is it plays all the Wii U and Wii games so you have a vast selection of games but, say next year a hot new game like sky landers comes out your kids will be out of luck because of their console. Just from my experience.

Well, if they've never had a wii then all wii games are new. Yes, I know, they can't get the latest one coming out, but I'm guessing OP's kids don't know what the latest games are if they don't really play on gaming consoles regularly.
