Even typical uneventful inaugurations are freezing cold, dull affairs with lots of lines, waiting and not nearly enough bathrooms. This particular inauguration will have epic protesters. I guess it would be a good first amendment object lesson....

My son wants to go. I requested tickets. If we get tickets and there are epic protestors my son will be disgusted and see an example of how embarrassing it looks when children/adults throw tantrums when they don't get their way. Very educational. Donald Trump isn't boring, so I'll be happy if we go, but if not I'll watch it on tv.

Even if a few kids go -- that's great, but that's not a reason to shut down the whole school district and cause parents to have to scramble for child care when there isn't any logistical reason schools can't open.

Well, if a few snowflakes fall, you can bet schools will be closed.

Haha. Too funny. You just burst somebody's bubble and rained on their parade.

Except FCPS is closed. Did you check the calendar before you posted?

King George III thought the EXACT same thing.

You say
The price of my love’s not a price that you’re willing to pay
You cry
In your tea which you hurl in the sea when you see me go by
Why so sad?
Remember we made an arrangement when you went away
Now you’re making me mad
Remember, despite our estrangement, I’m your man

You’ll be back, soon you’ll see
You’ll remember you belong to me
You’ll be back, time will tell
You’ll remember that I served you well
Oceans rise, empires fall
We have seen each other through it all
And when push comes to shove
I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love.

And I will kill your friends and family to remind you of my live.

Thats my favorite song!!!

So, basically, county school systems are following OPM guidance, which is to give leave only to employees in Arlington, Fairfax, PG, And MoCo, plus DC. Not sure what OP is upset about. Only the counties touching DC are out. Doubtful that traffic and road closures are going to hit the PWC Netherlands. But, is is pretty funny to see OP so up in arms about perceived liberal bias- basically, a walking PWC stereotype.
