I feel dirty when I read how much I may benefit from Trump's tax plan and now maybe school voucher program. I feel terrible because I know the cost it will be for others. But then I think, "this is what America wanted!"

Many but not most. Doesn't excuse them away. The knee-jerk apologizing for bad acts discredits your case.

Nope. I feel open-minded and cautiously optimistic, same as I felt during Obama's first couple of years -- before it became clear all he could deliver was speeches and deportations.

Let's give Trump a chance. He's our next President, like it or not.

I am sorry but Republicans gave no one to blame for nominating a man who is singularly unfit to hold any elected office, much less serve as Commander-in-Chief. They could have stood up to him at any point but showed that they valued party before country.

Actually I feel quite optimistic, last 15 days have shown me that Trump stands for nothing,not even hatred. He may have emboldened some racists but he doesn't believe in that also, the only thing which matters to him is approval and personal gain. If you checkout conservative news outlets you will see that they are not happy with him backtracking on almost every campaign promise. I am quite confident that GOP will let have fun for a few months, let his base see him for what he is and then pull the plug. I am a minority and was sick to my stomach at his election but I feel much better. The man stands for nothing and let's not compare him to Hitler, Hitler was a child of adversity and a man of conviction ( for good or bad) but this guy is just a two bit con man. Yes, our dear country will pay the price in the means but such is life.

+1 re: taxes--I feel guilty about any potential benefit like lowered taxes for my income bracket. Coupled with concerns for my religious and racial minority immigrant family, it's a strange feeling.

Yes, the Republicans nominated a person who is singularly unfit for the presidency but we then presented a nominee who was so flawed that even he could beat her. For that irresponsible action we have only ourselves to blame.

Is this true or just a "trick" to make us feel better and/or distract us?
Because the people he is appointing are pretty bad.
If he is trying to please Pence or Bannon is just as bad as if he had those convictions himself.

And no, I am not giving a chance to someone with KKK endorsements. I can take a lot of scum but I draw the line there.
And don't come back with "BUT Hillary" because Hillary is irrelevant now.
