How would you feel (double standard of treatment)?

I don't see it that way at all. I see it as a woman investing in a man and the kids are incidental. Men do this all the time but women are not immune. If the mom got a new man, the "favored kids" might find themselves on the outs too.

Whatever the excuse is, she is not investing in her daughter. What goes around will surely come around.

I keep getting stuck on "kicked me out at 13". I assume you went to dad?

I would stop worrying about who paid for college and get her out of my life and brain.
