I think that Jana is holding out for a really good one. Maybe a famous, young, handsome, rich athlete or high society guy. |
They tend to get engaged less then 9 months after they begin courting so I'm going to guess that by June they are announcing an engagement. |
I'm not sure. I think I remember an episode of her saying she's not into the whole "business suit" type and likes more of the down and dirty type (not those exact words). |
Delaying marriage is also a good way for her to manage her family size and to find a husband who is not a child himself. |
This is my thought too. And, as much as I would figure that anyone would want a quick escape from that family, it might be more her style to take things slow, unlike all of her other sisters. I'm actually hoping that she'll casually drift out of the show and do her own thing, as a single woman. That would be such great news. |
One of their boys courted in the past and then things ended. So, I guess that's allowed? |
|
He is cute! I wish they could just date without the presumption that it will necessarily lead to marriage -- but I think that is the premise behind the courtship.
Does anyone know if any of the older Duggar girls are working as midwives? They were training as midwives, but I don't know if any of them are actually employed. |

The older one is thought to be highly protective of her younger siblings, that Josh molested. Rumor is that she doesn't trust leaving their safety all up to Michelle and jim-bob - clearly they repeatedly failed.

Maybe her sisters told her it was the best way to escape?
As for the older sister, I feel bad for her because I think there are going to be very few fundamental leaning single men who are close to 30 and outside the fundamental circle, what does a 28 yr old woman who has never lived away from home, never went to school, never goes out, how is that going to be appealing? |
She's very pretty, sweet, nice and she's a household name. I'm sure there are lots of guys who would be interested. Plus she doesn't appear to be too fanatical about marrying young and having as many babies as is humanly possible...which is probably a big plus to most eligible young men. |
She'd appeal to a fundamentalist widower with children. I think the reasons she's single have both been stated above. She's protective of her younger siblings and she's smart enough to know that she can limit her family size simply be getting married later. |
|
I think that she's holding out for the real thing. And when he comes along she'll know it. She isn't going to settle.
I also think that taking care of her siblings and her siblings' children is something that she knows how to do. It's been her way of life forever, it's really all she's ever known and breaking away from that role to start her own family with her own husband is a little intimidating for her. When she's ready and when she meets the right guy she'll leave. But not until then. |
They need a new story line and she is the sacrificial lamb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jScBwSIFpLY |
His family is every bit as nuts as the Duggars - maybe more so. Start watching at the 4:00 mark or so. http://www.cmt.com/videos/misc/398879/worlds-strictest-parents-108-the-forsyth-family-1.jhtml#id=1622904 I feel terrible for these girls. They have zero shot at a life of their own choosing. |
| Does she have a speech impediment? |
