This is too ornate and fussy for my tastes. That gorgeous view out the window should have been the focal point in that apt, IMO.

The Old Post office room is nice but it looks a little impersonal - like a hotel room.

It'll be interesting to see what the do with the White House. Any guesses as to which Interior Decorator they'll work with?

That's what I envision as well. IMO it looks like someone trying too hard.

If that's what they do it just means another major renovation in 4 years when someone else moves in.

I thought every new president renovates the quarters and gets a budget to do so.

It'll be tacky whatever they do with it.

No.

Here is a photo of an ACTUAL Trump property, a room at the Old Post Office.

Unfortunately that's not an ACTUAL photo.

The cornflakes in the elaborate gold bowl.

Why is that interesting? Obama wasn't famous for his gaudy style.

Can we please have a forum that is not about Trump?

I like what the Obama's have done to the White House - tasteful, elegant. Love what W Bush did, too.

Has anyone seen anything tackier than this? Trying to recreate Versaille 30 stories above Manhattan? It's just so, so awful.

I don't know, but I think their Christmas card will look like this.

They've got their "I just smelled a fart" photo game nailed.

Do you think this will be for high donors only?

Possibly. It is just so classy for the President elect.

Hopefully they will dial down the tacky but I doubt it.

They do. It might just require a more extensive renovation once the Trumps are done with it.

If you can't figure out why you didn't see this kind of post for Obama, then you're a moron.
