Oh, another good one |

My Fellow Americans.
"Hail to the chief, he's the chief, and he needs hailing." |
| Mr Smith Goes to Washington |
| A Face in the Crowd. An outstanding movie that is such a statement on the American political system... |

My Date With the Presidents Daughter
Chasing Liberty |
| I love to watch "A Tour of The White House, With Mrs. John F. Kennedy". It's on you tube. |
Manchurian Candidate, anyone?
|
| The one that is currently playing on all the channels. It is outrageous, preposterous, infuriating, and wildly entertaining at the same time. I think I've seen one of the lead actors on another "reality" tv show once, surprised he can make a career in Hollywood given that he looks more like a toad and less like Brad Pitt. |
Independence Day. |
| Not quite a White House movie, but I loved In the Loop. |
+1. Was going to say this. |
|
My favorite scene from "Primary Colors":
Presidential candidate Jack Stanton (John Travolta as a gossamer-thinly disguised Bill Clinton) and other good ole' boys weep and wallow in their love for their dear departed Mommas -- an orgy of sentimentality that Stanton's wife, an equally-thinly disguised you-know-who (played to perfection by Emma Thompson) calls a "Mommathon." Jack asks his young campaign aide Henry, the grandson of a revered leader of the Civil Rights Movement, "Do you still have your momma with you?" Henry: "Yes. Well, she's in LA with my stepfather." |
| Air Force One is a strong Presidential/White House movie. |
| I love House of Cards. |
