My 10 year old loved coraline. It made my 5 year old very uncomfortAble and unhappy. It's a great movie but it's super creepy and it involves a plot line with a mother transforming in a bad way. I think for tweens that's not a big deal but little kids often worry about something happening to their parent so I think it just hits a real nerve with them.

Hocus Pocus. My kids started watching it when they were maybe 5.

Yes I love the part when the teen is using the rear view mirror to look up the girls skirt to see her crotch
Or when they talk about sexual torture devices, drugs, and curse.

Super movie for 5 year olds.

I have a date this weekend to watch Halloween (the original) with my 7 year old. I'm guessing he's gonna love it. I'll just cover his eyes for the sex scene. I'm sure he'll be fine.

I forgot about that one. I'll probably watch it again by myself first to be sure, but if it's as I remember, my older kids would probably like it... might have a new movie to add to the Halloween rotation. Thanks!

Why would the OP ask for that age gap if she didn't have kids ages 5-12. Goonies is not appropriate for 5yr olds. Can we just keep kids a little bit longer. I guess they will be watching 50 shades by 10.

From the 80's "The Worst Witch of All" Tim Curry as the grand wizard and Mrs Garrett from the Facts of Life. Can't get better than that.
