It depends where they are in life and what experience has taught them. My husband used to choose hot, crazy women. That never worked out well. He married me because I was nothing like them - he liked that I was level-headed and patient. Of course, now that I've been married to him a while, I'm a lot less patient. Still level-headed, though.

She has to meet a certain basic level of looks and intelligence.

After that... it's really important that she is attracted to you, and shows it.

If she's not attracted to you, then all her other great qualities are irrelevant.

A DH here. I'd had had enough of level-headed ladies and married hot & crazy. So, yes, there is no single answer.

If he is a man with purpose and a vision, he chooses tne will support his future vision for life, and let go of the one that attends to his selfish desires. He picks the most logical choice for the long term.
