A nice southern accent..yes. A ditzy voice with vocal fry or your typical DC accent? Complete turn off. I hate how it's trendy to have an upward inflection when you finish sentences.

Kathleen Turner's voice early on. Jessica Rabbit.

I don't think it's my voice necessarily but my accent. Men seem to love it and want to keep the convo going, asking more questions etc until finally they ask where I am from... nowadays I can see the glaze over in their excited beady eyes as I realize they are doing that thing where they are listening without actually hearing... so I turn away and end the conversation as it seems a little fetishy.

You're Russian and they ask you to say "moose and squirrel"?

I'm a woman and I very much dislike my own voice. Hate hearing myself on a voice message or on a video. But it's my voice and there's not a whole lot I can do about it.

No one has ever told me that my voice was not a good one, it's just a hang up I have about myself.

I am in a relationship to a woman who has the most beautiful, gentle, musical voice. I talked with her on the phone before meeting in person and I think I fell in love with her immediately after I heard her voice. It's been three years and still, every time she speaks, it takes my breath away. (I am also a female btw). So yes, voice can definitely be a turn on.
I cannot stand women with loud, low pitch and nasally voices. If you ever heard the blogger Kelly Hampton speak, you'll know what I mean.
I also hate my own voice - I am 40 and sound like a 10-year old. When someone calls, they ask if they can talk to my parents. I hope I never have to do a phone interview. .

(See, I'm not picky.)

Bad: Hillary's voice

Intolerable: northeastern US accents.

If you include NYC in this, I totally agree. The worst in the country.
