Write In Candidate on my absentee ballot?

Anonymous
It is also my opportunity to vote for whoever I want and it doesn't have to be one of those two crappy candidates. Neither of those two are desirable. If Bernie can show a minimum 1% write in turnout the message will be sent loud and clear.

My son is fascinated by Trump because his name is Donald, and makes the poor little guy think of Donald Duck. So I say, Donald Duck.

Also, I like the book "Jesus for President"
https://www.amazon.com/Jesus-President-Politics-Ordinary-Radicals/dp/0310278422, so you can go with that.

This is a Trump troll.

A vote for Bernie will be thrown out except in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Iowa, and Oregon.

A vote for Bernie in any other state will be thrown out or recorded as "other," not recorded as a Sanders vote. Literally, unless you are in one of those states, your vote will not even be counted.

That is disenfranchisement, and I see many Trump supporters on Facebook trying to push people to vote for Sanders in states where it will not count. It's their "Millennial strategy."

Huh
So voting Bernie - voting my conscience - is s vote for trump?

Lol
Oh well
You dummies in both sides put Hillary against trump. I didn't.

Yes, it is literally a vote for Trump. Were you born in 2001? Did you forget what happened last time?

I'm 50. I've been voting since 1984. I've been around the block - and having lived through two Clinton terms, I'm done. If you put Clinton in, then fucking vote for her unethical ass. The Rs put in Trump. not my problem

I'm not voting for either. So if you are now upset that WE - the third party voters - can upset the results, oh well, I say! You should have been proactive before you put that condescending asshole up against Trump.

your issue, not mine, as I was smart enough to figure it out BEFORE the primaries

^^ totally agree with PP. It isn't a vote for Trump or for Hillary. It is a vote against both.

Did Bush get the message when Nader pulled 2.74% of the vote in 2000? Did Bill Clinton get the message when Ross Perot got 19% of the vote in 1992? No they did not care one little bit. They won and that's the only thing that mattered.

It's threads like these that make me question the universal franchise.

Good analogy. Many current cancer drugs are actually poisonous substances. Right now you can choose one of two poisonous substances, or you can keep yourself pure and die while waiting for the perfect drug.

No it is not a troll. It is an excellent way to put down who you really want to see in the white house when the primary process gave us two crappy candidates.

Voting isn't your opportunity to write in Mickey Mouse or your mom. It's your opportunity to pragmatically and realistically participate in choosing the leader of our country for the next four years. Again, see the 2000 election for the results when you vote for who you "want to" instead of choosing to keep a crazy man out of the office.

My vote is speech. I can write in whoever I damn well please.

You can, but if you want your speech to count for anything, you'll go back and read 17:40 again, and then rethink this approach if you don't live in one of the listed states. If you live in any of the others and vote Bernie, no one but you and the person/machine who translates it to "other" will know you voted for him, it won't go toward getting him 1% of the vote, you might as well write him in and then tear up your ballot and scatter it to the wind.

Actually, no. If you normally would vote GOP, it's a vote for Hillary. But if you normally would vote for the Democrat, it's a vote for Trump.

I really can't support either. I am going to leave it blank or write-in Bernie. Not even a Bernie supporter but what the heck.

I am voting for Hillary. I understand the desire to vote Third-party, but I care too much about my country to throw my vote away. I guess I am a patriot.
