I second this! I think it does a great job of explaining what people mean when they talk about institutional racism when it comes to policing. The racism is baked into the system.

And the way states use public institutions to purchase prison made goods is sickening. I worked for a VA state University and we had to buy all office furniture from one of those specific catalogues the state provided. Nevermind it's actually costing the university way more than a run to IKEA would...I don't want to sit at a desk made by prison slaves.

Yeah this is something that really bothers me too. The number of businesses profiting on this labor is staggering.

I’d love to watch with my 10 year old but it sounds like he’s too young. Can anyone who’s seen it comment? Is it mostly because of images?

The images are very hard to see/watch. But, I think the discussion is sometimes a bit sophisticated for a 10 year old. I feel like I need to watch it again to take it all in.
