Candidate signs

I live in NW DC. I'm seeing waaaaaaaaay fewer Hillary signs than I saw Obama signs in 2012. People are just resigned to vote for HRC; she's the low-passion candidate.

I see a lot of congressional candidate signs in my neighborhood.

One is even for a candidate in another district.

Very few presidential signs this year.

I saw way more signs during the primaries. Both sides.

I just remarked on this to DH last week. There are three Clinton and two Trump that I've noticed in my neighborhood. I feel like four years ago there was a lot more. During our recent city council election the neighborhood was full of signs on every street. I live in NOVA and havent received any mailers from either side this election. I am not complaining but it so different then 2012.

Way less this year. But in my neighborhood, more Hillary signs.

The one Trump supporter on our street definitely falls into the basket of deplorables -- he is a racist and sexist and a drunk, too.

That's why there is no way we will put up any Trump signs. The democrats are nasty.

Very few. And I'm glad. Frankly, I don't want to know who is voting for Trump in my neighborhood, and I'm glad my HOA bans them outright.

And Trump supporters have been nice? Your candidate hasn't been nasty? Everything that comes out of his mouth is a personal ad hominem attack. Your unquestioning fealty to ideology has blinded you to reality.

The best bumper sticker I've seen all year said "Giant Asteroid 2016." I still LOL everytime I think about that.

Anonymous wrote:What's the purpose of yard signs and bumper stickers, anyway? Are people hoping to convert others to vote for their candidate? Or are folks just proud of their candidate? I never understood the reasons why people want to tell everyone in their neighborhood, or anyone driving behind them, who they're voting for. I don't dispute that you have a right to do so, but why?

If pride is a major reason, considering the the lack of signs, not many are proud this go round.

Very few indeed.

Bingo.

My friend had a Romney sticker on her car last election and it got keyed. She's voting for Trump, but no sign nor sticker this time. I have neither, but I do have a really neat "Make Coffee Great Again" mug and two beer glasses . I also just donated to the campaign and will receive a signed "Art of the Deal".

Arlington. Several HRC signs on my street in our neighborhood. Zero Trump signs that I've seen. Gives me hope for humanity.
