Would think that Deal families who complain about crowding should be pleased if Latin, BASIS, and DCI are taking some in-bounds kids.

+1000 Really, 12:14?? Deal is a terrific school and a great option for many, many families., Hardy is also becoming a terrific school. And now having three great charter middle schools is only a win for DC families. They are all different and can meet different needs. Why do they have to be in competition? Pit public schools against private and I'm right there with you (ha, see what we're getting for free??) but not public against public. More great public schools is just better for everyone.

And Sela!!! So proud of the new Hebrew-immersion public charter school!!! And not a parent -- it's too far from me, but I visited & was impressed with the beautifully painted facilities, the doctorate & welcoming school director, and all the teachers. I wish it was closer to me because I would definitely put my kids there!

And Sela!!! So proud of the new Hebrew-immersion public charter school!!! And not a parent -- it's too far from me, but I visited & was impressed with the beautifully painted facilities, the doctorate & welcoming school director, and all the teachers. I wish it was closer to me because I would definitely put my kids there!

Too early to celebrate whenever not calibrating PARCC scores. I'm curious why they didn't get a NA ranking.
