Except you are not building credit history.

My credit score is about 800 according to the 3 common credit agencies. I have credit cards and utilities in my name and have had mortgages as well as a HELOC in my name in the past. I'm not worried about my credit history.

So what is the harm in being on this mortgage? Worried DH won't pay on time?

Just more paperwork to do without any added benefit. It started out that I didn't apply for the initial mortgage because I owned a condo in my name at the time that had condo fees and such so I would be adding more debt in the application but not income. When we refinanced, I no longer owned the condo, but we didn't see the point in having them run two credit checks and do paperwork on both of us when I virtually added nothing to the application. No worries that my husband won't pay on time. I handle all of the finances!
