No, it is because while I know about Wilson, my neighborhood high school, I've never heard of TC Williams. Don't' even know where it is. (Yes, I could google it, but why would I?) |
In that case you are only speaking to your own ignorance. |
Why would this be ignorance? Tell me why a random person living on my street should know about some random high school in another state that their kids will never attend? |
|
Agree that it's unlikely someone would have sufficient knowledge of both. I'm a TC Williams parent (a satisfied one, btw.) While as a frequent visitor to DCUM, I am certainly aware of Wilson, I would never presume to offer a head-to-head comparison.
OP, school is only thing to consider when deciding where to live. Research both, but research other things as well. |
| Both are really shitty, like comparing diarrhea to vomit |
Incorrect. Only diarrhea is shitty. |
Now you are really showing your ignorance. |
|
OP, don't move to get to TC. If you move, go to MD...BCC or Whitman.
But, they call Wilson "Yale or jail"...so the kids who do well can do really well. Why not SWW? |
We are really getting away from jail or yale. Love Wilson. Better fit than SWW. |
|
Plenty of kids that don't fit Yale or Jail stereotype at Wilson.
My kid is there and doing fine. I'm sure TC Williams is fine too. |
I do, I went to TC and now live NW DC. I still have friends at TC who teach there |
Would you say there they are comparable schools? They seem very similar to me. |
|
I think it is easier to make the soccer team at Wilson.
|
| The theater kids at TC Williams are outstanding (signed, a parent whose kid goes to one of the desireable high schools in a different part of the country.) |
Same with Wilson. |
