Why would this be ignorance? Tell me why a random person living on my street should know about some random high school in another state that their kids will never attend?

Agree that it's unlikely someone would have sufficient knowledge of both. I'm a TC Williams parent (a satisfied one, btw.) While as a frequent visitor to DCUM, I am certainly aware of Wilson, I would never presume to offer a head-to-head comparison.
OP, school is only thing to consider when deciding where to live. Research both, but research other things as well.

OP, don't move to get to TC. If you move, go to MD...BCC or Whitman.

My kid is there and doing fine.
