Yes. When the OP meets the first rich teacher, let me know. I know plenty of rich or comfortable doctors. I know no teacher who does well, unless they are married / partnered with someone who makes more money.

I am confused why a paid residency counts as "training time", but the years of teaching before you get your permanent license don't.
