Bad AirBnB Experience - Next steps?

OP here. Just back from hospital where I've been for 6 hours with my daughter. I did set up my daughter's bed (clean sheets and pillow cases) but my mom promised daughter they could snuggle / sleep together. I set up air mattress as a back up option (my daughter's pain made her move around and kick a lot) and my daughter got excited and climbed in and asked my mom if she would snuggle. My mom climbed in and fell asleep.

Omg. So you still didn't even intend to let your mother have a real bed at all in your house. Why?

Why didn't you let her stay with you in the beginning? Instead of shipping her to a bnb and making your poor 70 yo mother walk to your house. Can you please tell us why she can't stay with you at your house?

My mother drives me batty but I let her have my daughters bed when she comes. My daughter wil sleep on the air mattress in our room or I will let her sleep with grandmas room a few nights in the floor.

Why can't she stay at your house?

And why didn't you get all of her items from a complete strangers shit house?

OP here. I'll stop coming by - haven't slept in days and came here for advice about different topic, but yes I invited her to stay with us and have our bed or our daughter's. She said she'd prefer having her own space but wanted it within walking distance so I found her the AirBnB (only thing that would fit bill). Last night she slept in my daughter's full bed once we left for hospital. She chose to join my daughter on air mattress. My question was if we pay for Airbnb (good reviews knew there was a dog there) but something goes wrong how much recourse do we have? I think there was one helpful poster.

Right?! Her 4 yo is dealing with some major illness that causes pain, she is pregnant, and somehow all that is missed or glossed over. This is what DCUM is made of: assholes.

Call Airbnb now and ask for a refund OP. The rental did not meet cleanliness standards so it's within their policy to cover it. Next time, look for a private apartment Airbnb for your mom. Too much can go wrong when you are just getting a room in a strangers house.

The hotel thing doesn't make sense to me either. Let's presume the OP is from the DC area. There are hundreds of hotels (Crystal City has plenty of places to walk to as an example, Tyson's is another considering several are very close to the mall).

If I get the OP's situation, she found an Air BnB within walking distance of her residence?

But air B and B isn't really her own space, either. Seems odd to me why you didn't arrange initially, when your kid wasn't sick yet but you were just planning for your mom's visit, for her to have your daughter's room? Seems even stranger you're thinking of sending her back over to the dog place...
