Barnesville is $20 K and I believe they even have a bus that picks up in Kentlands. Seriously, check them out; wonderful school and seems to fit your criteria.

Barrie School in Silver Spring is a progressive school that goes from toddlers up to HS. Montessori in the lower grades.

Tuition is from $15-$31,000 depending on grade. Barrie is truly committed to economic diversity and gives substantial financial aid to a large population of people in need.

Barrie's Open House and Fall Festival in October is a great way to get a feel for the community and school.

We chose Norwood, but as I said in my previous comment there are many, many great schools in the area. As you tour the schools, I'm sure you will find one that feels like the right fit for your child and family. Good luck!
