For real! And at the libraries.

That link talks about one school and it's because the water supply is messed up. Not a ban on bringing water in a bottle from home.
Tis is n longer allowed, unless it s a sealed bottle. none of this anymore

Because an anonymous person on DCUM said so? Prove it.

You guys, THIS ISN'T TRUE. There is zero percent chance it's true. I will eat my computer if DCPS is instituting a ban on water bottles.

the ban is on re-usable or previously opened bottles. It has to have an intact seal

I heard that because some kids were huffing glue, that DCPS is banning unsealed air sources. They'll be handing out scuba gear to prevent that.

Someone very important told me that, but I can't say who. But you should believe me.

Link to the policy, news release or coverage by a reputable news source now or shut the hell up. If your child attends Wilson and a hard copy "policy" went home, take a photo and post, now, or shut the hell up.

Well, we can put this rumor to rest. DCPS just tweeted that it will not prohibit water bottles and they want their students hydrated.

DCPS does not have a policy prohibiting students from bringing water bottles to school. We want students to stay hydrated during the day.

On the one hand, I get the outrage. On the other hand...just send your kid with a sealed bottle of water.

yeah, it's slightly wasteful. But it is recycled. And everything we do is slightly wasteful.

Just trust Nestle / Coca-Cola for your child's hydration needs!

Not just wasteful, it's also expensive!!

Not really. You can get a case of 24 bottles of water @ Safeway for $3.99. You can get a year's worth for about $20.

Seems in keeping with the general stupidity in the district.

OK. Enough. Nothing to see here. Rumor debunked.

My child was late to class at Wilson today as water bottles were being confiscated at the entrance if unsealed. So if this isn't DCPS policy, why are security guards doing this?
