| I usually do 99 to 219 to reach the Buffalo area. It is kind of dead but very scenic especially on 99 near the Altoona area. 15 I hear is good too, I may try it to the next time I go up there. |

Does the 15 option result in more tolls in NY state? |

15 doesn't have tolls but if you take I-90 for the last bit then yes. I can't imagine it would be much though, and you can certainly take other back roads if you want to avoid tolls altogether. |
