I was really cold after delivering in July. My favorite things were a zip up hoodie and a big bath towel. I’m six feet tall and having a nice plush towel was really nice.

Thanks, super helpful. Good to know that they had RTF formula -- I've seen other posts about people needing to bring nursettes to other hospitals as a back up plan in case breastfeeding wasn't working. What about disposable breastfeeding pads for leakage, or nipple balm, should I bring those?

Anything they didn't give you that you found super helpful to have right away once getting home? I'm thinking of having Depends, some giant maxi pads, medline cold packs - the ones that are disposable, and possibly dermoplast on hand and disposable breastfeeding pads and nipple balm. Anything else I should have for me? And I plan to have a box of nursettes just in case. (This may sound like overkill, but I have no local family, and my husband may be called into work pretty much at any time. And I'm a planner and I'll just be more comfortable if I'm not worrying about not having something and needing to go out with a 3 day old newborn to get it.)

Don’t get the giant thick maxi pads. Honestly, they will give you those and they are SO uncomfortable. But, it’s good to have Always Infinity pads at home. I’ve found those to be the thinnest but most absorbent.

Going home outfit for the baby.

Long phone charger, phone, toiletries, going home clothes for me.

Didn’t need anything else.

I loved using Depends - no bulky, shifting layers, and the whole thing gets tossed when you’re done. They are as comfortable as underwear (well, almost). Sibley sent me home with Dermoplast.

I wanted colace for a few more days. If you have prime though we had lots of orders those first few weeks.

Lots of Gatorade, one handed water bottle, and one handed snacks. I thought I’d feel the same way about the store but we had a weight check within days of getting home and stopped at target. Babe was asleep in the car seat and we had a joyous slow paced stroll through target. Felt really good to walk.

They dont provide pillows so def bring those I know.

I can't stress enough to bring your own pillow...I delivered there in June of 2018 also and got such terrible neck pain from the bed and pillow that it was worse than my C-Section pain. Anesthesia even needed to verify that I wasn't having some crazy reaction to the surgery epidural.

If my husband is available to go with me I'm sure I'd be fine. Its if I'm on my own, I'd be more anxious. I'm sure I would manage, but I'm ok with spending $100 up front to not worry about how I will manage if he is not there.

It sounds like you've got it covered! Depends are good so you don't have to worry about leaking. Definitely bring a pillow from home. I had crazy hot flashes after delivery and they even brought me a fan! If you need something just ask, you might be surprised what they have!
