Doing so would both balance the total enrollments at the two schools and reduce the FARMS percentages at Poe/Annandale, which shot up after FCPS kept moving SFH neighborhoods to other schools.

It would be Wakefield Forest to Annandale, not Canterbury Woods.

And I simply cannot imagine it will happen for the foreseeable future.

Yes, a few years ago Wakefield Forest was a split feeder to Frost/Woodson and Poe/Annandale. The dividing line was Wakefield Chapel. Now it all goes to Frost/Woodson.

I do think that the re-districting of many kids from Fairfax Villa to Frost/Woodson came as a surprise. I don't know that they would have changed the WF feeder pattern otherwise. But at the time there was a lot of buzz about how overcrowded Annandale was, so who knows.

But I know a lot of people who have bought into WF neighborhoods who will be very unhappy if they now take it away from Frost/Woodson!

Is it only the views of the Woodson people that count? Might there not be some benefits to aiming for greater SES balance between the two schools?

Canterbury Woods is closer to Lake Braddock than Woodson or Annandale. A boundary change would help the Frost/Woodson overcrowding. But moving Wakefield Forest shift must occur first.

4 years on and nothing but crickets.

Someone is going to come out of pocket to pursue a multi-year lawsuit to compel the school board to adjust its boundaries so that more rich white kids go to Poe/Annandale, with virtually no prospects of success?

Yeah, it's more likely the School Board will change the boundaries eventually than that a court will do so. It's mostly Democratic and the Woodson SB representative isn't well-liked. They already moved part of Woodson to Robinson against her wishes so I wouldn't be surprised if they move part of Woodson back to Annandale regardless of what she has to say about it.
