Oh wow, I didn't realize it was that far, but then again I know the traffic in that area is pretty bad. Thanks for the heads up.

Depends on where you work in DC. I live there and it takes me a little under 15 minutes to get to Twinbrook so if you work on the red line, it should be under 1.5 hours on the metro. Driving, yes. I don't think it's ideal for commuting downtown but there are plenty of FV residents who do. But if you don't need to go downtown, the ICC makes it very easy to get to other parts of Maryland.

It's a great community. Very close-knit, the school included, and people really watch out for one another. I don't know anyone who is a member at Manor Country Club but almost everyone is a member of the FV pool.

Not true. I'm up the road in Olney and on a bad day it takes me 90 mins, but most days it's less. FV is 10-15 mins closer in than Olney.

Depends on where you're going to in the city, and when your travel times are. Agree that it's very common to take an hour and a half in each direction (driving or navigating via metro).
