College students without a "plan"

Anonymous
I changed my major 6 times. Transferred once. Graduated with enough credits probably for 2 degrees. I was very fortunate - the DAD Scholarship Plan allowed me the flexibility to test it all out. I realize not everyone is fortunate enough to have that option. But I also think it is unrealistic to expect that a 17 year-old (that is how old I was when I started college) to absolutely positively know what career they want for the next 50 years. Ended up, 30 years later, in a career related to my first major. Now have 3 graduate degrees. Happy as a clam. God willing, I will work til I'm 70. Wouldn't change a second of any of my life's choices.
