Lab mix. From a rescue / shelter. Friendlies, fluffiest, most loving dogs in the world.

I've been searching rescues lately and have come across lots of awesome fluffy dogs needing homes.

Heartbreaking. But heartwarming if you adopt one!

Read about the "wheaten greeting". I'd never get this breed again. Dog had all the training in the world, he still sucked a little.

Haha-- that's how all my goldendoodle greets me. I have always just thought all dogs did this.

+100 And so many less health problems than getting a dog from a breeder.

- Have had dogs my entire life.

It was fine until I had two kids under two and lots of elderly relatives and friends visiting on the regular. He would overwhelm the small and old- such a pain. Started putting him on the deck when company came as it became a real issue despite all attempts at behavior modification.

Don't know about "fluffy," but our black lab mix is truly such a sweet, gentle, and smart girl!! We've had her a year--adopted her when she was 7. She also has a ferocious bark when someone rings the doorbell, so she's also great protection.

If you want fluffy, you should be prepared for the grooming costs that come with it. Or else you get a shaved fluffy dog.

Bichons are awesome!

I love my Welsh Corgi. She's 30 pounds. Fluffy but not curly, so grooming is mostly just regular baths and brushing to control shedding.

Yes, but you have to get an older lab or lab mix if you want to skip their difficult and head strong bitey puppy stage

PP here. I know you're right about that! We've only had one puppy--the sweetest little beagle in the world! Our other dogs have all been seniors--they're perfect for us!

We have a 20 pound cockapoo. He is 6 months old and should top out around 25 pounds. He is adorable and we get stopped constantly by people asking what he is- he looks fake, like a stuffed animal.
